Happy holiday season!! The holidays in 2020 definitely have stress, anxiety, and uncertainty crashing the party. I hope that with whatever your plans look like, you continue to find small moments of joy. With the pandemic carrying on, it’s so important to support our local small businesses to help them ride the rest of this Covid wave. I put together this gift guide with small businesses & artists on Cape. Find some inspiration for your gifts this year, and maybe discover a new business below! Everything in pink is linked ♡
Irene Lynch Art – for the art & Cape lover
I had the pleasure of meeting Irene at the Orleans Artist Cottages this summer & purchased a beautiful print of Mayflower Beach. Her website has prints of beloved Cape spots that make the perfect gift for Cape lovers. My new absolute favorite is her “Call Me When You Get to the Bridge” painting. How thoughtful of a gift would that be?!
Snowy Owl Coffee – for the coffee lover
This is absolute sweetest coffee shop and their coffee is amazing. You can buy bags of coffee, coffee-making tools, and apparel on their site. You can also choose sample packs of different coffee blends on the site, as well as your grind preferences. The sample packs would make a fun experiential gift for someone to try each kind.
Scout Vintage – for the winter wonderland experience
Every year, this shop closes its doors for a week to completely transform into a Winter Wonderland, reopening with a big reveal when it is complete. If you’re able to, you should definitely stop by. You’ll come across a curated collection of tasteful, unique holiday decor, and it’ll fill you up with holiday spirit.
Heart of Stone – for the jewelry lover
Check this shop out for super unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Lots are Cape themed, like this ring, which I think make really thoughtful gifts.
Painted Daisies – for the home decor lover
A cozy, winter wonderland in Sandwich. Stop by Painted Daisies and peruse through each of its little rooms for endless home decor. Their holiday decor is tasteful and adorable- my family has so much fun exploring it this time of year.
Old King’s Coffeehouse – for the sweet tooth
This has been #1 my list of Cape cafes to try. When I asked for ideas of your favorite small businesses, I got multiple responses for Old King’s Coffeehouse, reaffirming my desire to go. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their food, coffee, and especially the donuts. Putting this on my gift guide because if you’re coming down to a family Cape house for the holidays, how sweet would it be to surprise the fam with fresh goodies from here!?
The Gilded Oyster – for a lady you love
You should scroll The Gilded Oyster’s Instagram for some absolutely stunning jewelry. Their coastal pieces could be the perfect gift for your girlfriend, mom, or any other special lady in your life!
Solis – for the fashionista
When my sisters asked what I wanted for Christmas, I responded “quite literally anything from Solis.” On Main Street in Harwich Port, this boutique is the best for trendy clothes and lifestyle goodies like diffusers, mugs, and candles. For a Cape-themed gift, try their wooden signs, or Salty apparel. In general, the diffusers and Barefoot Dreams socks are wonderful, cozy gifts.
T. Jazelle – for the creative collector
These handmade bracelets each have a different inspirational charm or meaningful quote. They look SO cool stacked on top of each other, so start a creative gal off with one or two meaningful bracelets for her. Or, if you know a T. Jazelle lover already, get one to add to their collection! Either way, these are such a meaningful gift. The founder, Tiffany, is such an inspiration to me!
I hope you enjoyed this collection of small businesses to support this season. Some are personal favorites, others were highly recommended by friends to feature! Let me know if you check out any of these, or if you have any other recommendations- I would love to do a part 2!
Happy almost December! Lots of love
